Welcome to Congregation Beth El Preschool. We are located in the heart of Fort Bend County, Missouri City, TX.
Come Play and Learn with us....
Research has shown that the preschool years are a critical time for the fundamental development of lifelong skills. Congregation Beth El (CBE) Preschool offers a nurturing and creative environment that promotes the physical, intellectual, social and emotional development of each child in a Jewish atmosphere. CBE Preschool is committed to the principles of community, integrity, respect for diversity and valuing the uniqueness of each and every child.
Our Program:
CBE offers a quality preschool program, for children ages 18 months to five years. The school follows NAEYC guidelines and is state-licensed program. Our small class size and low child-teacher ratios allow teachers to meet children’s individual needs.
Our curriculum is thoughtfully planned and developmentally appropriate. The activities are engaging, yet challenging. Skills and content are introduced through play, movement, and exploration. For example, colored tiles or objects are used to create patterns, sequence events, and predict outcome, which are important skills for mathematics. Role-playing and dramatic play help children express emotions as well as exercise creativity and develop skills like cooperation and problem solving. There is structured as well as unstructured time for physical development, engaging both gross motor and fine motor skills. Music and art are integrated throughout the day. The children have the opportunity to work independently, in small groups, and as a whole class each and every day. These are all important experiences that a child needs for school and in life.
Our Staff:
CBE Preschool has a full-time Director, an office assistant, and an excellent, well-trained staff of teachers who understand that each child has a distinct personality and learning style. Many of the staff members have been loyal employees for several years.
Judaic Awareness:
Jewish education is integrated throughout daily routines, weekly Shabbat, and holiday celebrations. With stories, songs, cooking and games of Jewish content, children develop their own unique Jewish identity. Parents are encouraged to participate in monthly, whole-school Shabbat and in holiday celebrations.
Parent/Teacher Communication
Each child is assessed both formally and informally. Twice a year, parents receive a formal progress report that tracks their child’s development. This progress report is age-appropriate and comprehensive and was developed with input from the teachers, Director and national guidelines. Parents are kept informed of their child’s progress through phone conversations, frequent informal conversations before and after school, and through the child’s own work brought home.
